Founded in 2011, Cureatr is a rising provider of mobile real-time healthcare information, connecting patient data that exists outside of the electronic medical record. Using the company’s solutions, providers and clinicians can have a more complete picture of the patient – allowing them to take real action to deliver better care.
The company’s solutions provide clinicians with secure ways to instant message each other to avoid putting personal health information at risk. They also help hospitals to reduce admissions and enhance real-time care coordination across facilities, as well as help providers best manage medication adherence.
Currently, Cureatr serves 130 health institutions with more than 33 million secure messages being sent with more than 80,000 users.
This momentum is catching on in the investor community. In 2015, the company announced that it raised $13 million in a round led by Deerfield Investments with participation from Cerner Capital and others.
“Cureatr’s mission is to let providers and caregivers know in real-time when their patients are getting care, and to put tools in their hands to respond to critical care transitions," said Cureatr CEO and cofounder Joseph Mayer, in this announcement.
In other recent news, the company announced that it has been it has been certified as a trusted partner of Surescripts, the nation’s leading health information network. Cureatr leverages Surescripts’ robust medication history products in their real-time mobile medication information tool, Meds 360°.
In addition, James Bradley recently joined Cureatr as Chairman of the Board. Bradley is the former CEO of RxHub, which is now Surescripts.
With the combination of innovative solutions, critical investments and powerful leadership, Cureatr is on the right path to help push real-time data sharing to the forefront in the healthcare arena.
