PODCAST: Philip Beckett, CIO at HASA, Discusses HIMSS 2018 and Why We Need a “Community” to Break Down Health Data Exchange Barriers

In the following RosettaHealth podcast interview, Philip Beckett, CIO at HASA, the community Health Information Exchange (HIE) for North, South and West Texas, discusses why it will take a “community” of many organizations working in concert to break down the barriers of health data exchange.

HASA will be joining IMAT Solutions, SocialClime, and Shatzkin Systems at the RosettaHealth HIMSS 2018 booth #11418 – to showcase how it truly takes a community cast of startups, HIEs, and vendors to make health data exchange truly work.

“The ‘it takes a village’ message is a powerful call to action, and it reflects the reality that no one vendor can do all of this – there are just too many workflows and systems involved,” said Beckett in the podcast interview. “You wouldn’t build a house without a solid foundation, and the same with a health information exchange, and I want to get this message out at HIMSS 2018.”

Stay tuned for our ongoing HIMSS 2018 podcast series where we will be interviewing executives from this band of exceptional organizations that are making authentic data exchange actually work, not just giving promises.
